On a quiet morning in Spring, a phone call came through that changed everything. After years of prayer, patience, and tireless dedication to its mission, Churchill’s Lighthouse Inc. received an incredible financial blessing from The Ten Talents Foundation—an answered prayer that launched the long-awaited major renovations of a new ministry home in the Shawnee neighborhood.
The vision for Churchill’s Lighthouse began back in 2017—a dream rooted in love, service, and the desire to create a safe haven for pregnant women and teen girls in crisis. Over the years, the project was kept alive through borrowed spaces, front porches, and with hearts full of compassion. Then, two years ago, Hosea’s House committed to helping complete the renovations of the Lighthouse. Through every step, they were a constant source of encouragement, sharing resources, wisdom, and unwavering support. Teresa Pike Oechsli, Executive Director of Hosea’s House, was a beacon of light—a mentor, a partner, and a friend to all those involved.
Now with the funds from The Ten Talents Foundation, the renovations are set to begin at last. Soon, Churchill’s Lighthouse will open its doors to welcome women and girls in need, offering them shelter, resources, mentorship, and most importantly, hope. The Lighthouse will stand as a radiant symbol of what happens when faith meets favor—when community comes together, and when God’s perfect timing unfolds.
