In a world where societal standards often dictate perceptions of beauty and worth, B.A.Y.A (Beautiful As You Are) stands as a beacon of empowerment and self-love. Founded by Tanisha “Tish” Frederick, B.A.Y.A is more than just an organization. It’s a transformative movement dedicated to helping individuals, especially youth, recognize and embrace their unique beauty and self-worth.

Empowering Through Education
The inception of B.A.Y.A is deeply personal. Tish was moved to action by her daughter Jasmine’s struggles with bullying and self-harm. Determined to turn pain into purpose, Tish developed a self-esteem building curriculum and activity books aimed at fostering self-acceptance and resilience. These resources serve as valuable tools for schools, community centers, and child-based organizations, to help individuals navigate life’s challenges with confidence.
With help from the program, Jasmine overcame her personal struggles. She graduated from Olivet Nazarene University with a double major in Psychology and Criminal Justice, and now serves as a compassionate Program Assistant at B.A.Y.A and a dedicated Mental Health Tech at U of L Peace Hospital. Her journey from adversity to advocacy highlights the transformative power of B.A.Y.A’s mission.
A Vision of Global Outreach
With growing recognition and demand, Tish envisions B.A.Y.A as a global movement spreading messages of self-acceptance, self-love, and empowerment to individuals of all ages and backgrounds. The organization’s impact is profound, helping individuals break free from societal pressures and encouraging them to love themselves unconditionally.
B.A.Y.A invites everyone to be part of this empowering journey. Whether through participating in workshops, utilizing educational resources, or supporting the organization’s initiatives, there’s a place for everyone in the B.A.Y.A community.
